General Practice Solutions Pty Limited (GPS) is a subsidiary company of NSW Central West Division of General Practice Limited.
The company was established with a view to:
Improve patient care and the health status of the people in the NSW Central West area and provide better access to available and appropriate general practitioner services for patients.
Currently GPS manages a walk-in, walk-out medical practice in Blayney on a fee for service basis. The management of this practice is viewed as a strategy to assist with recruitment and retention because GPs can focus on their clinical work rather than business management and there is no requirement to invest in infrastructure. Should a GP leave town the medical records, infrastucture and staff stay in place until a replacement can be found.
