Locums in the Central West

The current availability of locums in rural NSW is limited. The Division no longer has a pool of local locum contacts, and, as such, is unable to directly facilitate locum placements. However, if you are a GP and interested in providing GP locum services in the Central West, please contact the Division; we will work to connect you with practices that are seeking locums.

Are You Looking for a Locum?

The Rural Doctors Network (RDN) provides a subsidised locum service, with priority given to practices in RRMA 4-7 locations. For more information, go to the Locum section of the RDN website.

The RDN also maintains a list of current commercial locum agencies.

The Division offers a locum subsidy to practices in one- and two-doctor towns. More information is available at Division Workforce Activities.
