NSW Central West Division of General Practice (CWDGP) was established in 1993 and aims to support general practice in providing the highest quality healthcare to the people of the Central West.
CWDGP lies west of the Blue Mountains and covers a large area of 60,287 square kilometres from Lithgow to Lake Cargelligo. CWDGP supports 52 general practices within these boundaries.
CWDGP is a not-for profit company, limited by Guarantee, with primary membership being general practitioners who are currently working in the Central West. CWDGP is primarily funded by the Commonwealth Government. Project specific funding is sourced from various other organisations.
CWDGP provides support to practices in a variety of ways such as provision of allied health services, assistance with implementing new Medicare initiatives, workforce support, education and training just to name a few.
