Maintained by the Australian Department of Health and Ageing as a public service to the health professionals and clinicians of Australia. Provides links to freely available internet resources that seek to improve the closure of the evidence - practice gap.

National Guideline Clearinghouse

US Department of Health & Human Services, Agency for Healthcare Research & Policy – Extensive guidelines available for searching.

NSW Clinical Information Access Program (CIAP)

Provides access to clinical information and resources to support evidence-based practice at the point of care. This resource is available to all nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health, community health, ancillary and library staff working in the NSW public health system. Contact Area Health to register.

RACGP Clinical Resources

Resources to support general practitioners to make effective and evidenced based decisions about clinical care the RACGP provides tools and resources that assist shared decision making with patients.

RACGP Guidelines

Wide range of guidelines to assist general practitioners in their work.

RACGP Medinotes

Patient Information Leaflets are written to accurately explain to patients, and their family and friends, about medical conditions and general health topics, risk factors, treatment options, and much more. Can be downloaded and saved but not printed.

RACGP’s MyGeneralPractice

MyGeneralPractice is a GP’s point of access for a wide range of practice guidelines, patient education materials, journals, EBM resources and RACGP resources including gplearning. Access is available to RACGP members.

Simply4doctors

A range of GP resources include Australian health news, clinical images, support, patient resources, and access to experts. Provided by AstraZeneca, GPs will need to register. This is a pilot website for NSW.
